Amazingly, 20 years have passed since ITNH and Mimaki worked together to sell the very first Mimaki UV flatbed printer in North America! As the world’s first inkjet printer using UV-curable white ink, the Mimaki UJF-605C printer was revolutionary and proved to be a truly disruptive technology. By today’s standard, it may be considered expensive, slow and limited; however, it’s a testament to how far the technology has come and how much we have learned.

That very first printer was sold to the industrial screen printing market and was used to print membrane switch overlays and control panels. That market was just the tip of the iceberg. Together during the following years, Mimaki and ITNH worked to introduce this technology to new markets including promotional products, awards and recognition, OEM product decoration, sign and graphics, and more.
Right from the early outset, ITNH recognized the strong impact of this new technology. We immediately dedicated ourselves to mastering it technically and we immersed ourselves into all the print applications for which it had potential. We added service and support resources across North America, and we joined new trade organizations and exhibited at new (to us) trade shows in various markets.
